They Gave Me the Blue Ballot in Cambridge, Massachusetts

When the poll workers asked for my party as I am an unenrolled independent, "blue ballot" I said. That has always seemed to me the true color of the Republican Party, this red state nonsense of the last dozen years notwthstanding.

Ward 9, Precinct 2 in Cambridge, Massachusetts on March 6, 2012. I vote in the Cambridge Armory, which also is the headquarters of Company C, 1st Battalion, 181st Infantry Regiment of the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Their insignia is also blue.
